High Five for Friday!

This has been the.longest.week.EVER! Just ridiculous... my co-workers were making fun of me for my Wednesday FB post of.. "How is it only Wednesday??? Depressing.." but I really truly felt that way. I mean I seriously crammed a lot of work into this week... while everyone else is on summer vacay in our office **Bitter much??** :)

On to the Top Things of the week... as always linking up with Lauren at From My Grey Desk

1. We hosted a successful supper club, which I know you read about on Monday, so I wont bore you with the details....

2. Still making progress in the back yard... Damn the Texas heat for slowing down our process... Here's another sneak peak of whats to come

3. Had a delish meal (thanks to Chocolate Broccoli!)

4. I hate Jillian Michaels. Period. & this video KICKS.MY.ASS.

But I am so happy to be back on the healthy roll... although #5 will negate that... I will continue on today!

5. HH@H - If you dont know what it means, you arent invited. HA! Mean girls, much? Its fine happy hour with my co-workers is pobably one of my favorite activities.. especially since we work so hard. A skinny raspberry mojito is much deserved every now and then!

I saw this & it sums me up sometimes...

Love is...

Happy Weekend Yall!

After weeks of being M.I.A. on this little blog (except for my High Fives.. because I love those) I am back in action... Here is our weekend wrap up!

Thursday - Thursday was my Friday.. do you love those types of weeks as much as I do?? I wish I did them much more often than I do... I should work on that.. I disgress..

J remembered on Tuesday that he had a work outing at the lake on Thursday.. over night. This may seem like a small point of my weekend; however in the Dunaway House, this is a huge problem. This wifey is a My bestest's hubby is a firefighter... stays home alone every third day. My other best, lives alone in her apartment. Me? When my hubby says he wont be home for a night, I run home to my mommy and daddy. So J had fun out at the lake with his work buddies, and Layla & I had a sleepover in good old Flower Mound. Someday I will be able to stay home alone... well... We will see...

Friday - I got my hair did and my tan on and then J&I just relaxed for the rest of the day/night. It was perfection! We had planned on cooking, but Chinese sounded much much better...

Lots of cuddling in the Dunaway House

My Momma-in-Law came up with the perfect Dunaway Outing for us on Saturday. We all met at J&J's in the morning and we headed out to Downtown McKinney to Franconia Brewery.. We had such a great time & the beer was tastey!!! We will definitely be going back again!

Afterwards we went down to the McKinney Main Street area and grubbed at Square Burger.. First off, lets talk about how freakin cute this area is?! There are a billion cute little shops, and resturants.. that I must eat at EACH. But I am so thankful we went to square burger... it was delish... Everyone else got trditional burgers, but JoJo and I got a gyro burger... HOLY YUM peeps... holy.yum.

They also had delicious ice cream sandwiches

That night J&J came over and we had dinner (Stuffed Shells... I wish I had taken a pic, so I could do a recipe post but as you know recipes are not allowed unless there are photos... I will re-do soon!)

We watched a movie...

Sooooo funny! Loved hanging out with brother and sister.. it was like when they used to live here... just hanging out, laughing.. so easy!

Sunday: We hosted the July supper club.. it was Greek Night here at the Dunaway House... check in this week at Chocolate Broccoli for all of my recipes!

am so looking forward to August Supper Club at the Cabreras - as always, I love our friends, but we get to find out the sex of Baby Cabrera!! EEEK!!! I think its a boy... for no reason... I just think so... ((Chris, you can high five me later!)) Cant wait to find out!

Have a great week yall!

3. Monday I was technically off of work (although I went in for a mandatory luncheon) But I was able to get a massage & my nails done... thats my kind of Monday folks... if only it could be every week... eeerrr every other week would do too ;)

4. We made some good eats this week...

5. Backyard Improvements are still in progress! Eager to get it done!!

Random: The hubs & I are planning a vacation for August... but I have NO idea where we want to go.. H54F! St Louis Edition

Helloooooooo FRIDAY!

Its been quite the week here in St Louis, but I welcome you with open arms... Program is officially over at noon & it will be time to have some fun with my girls before heading home tomorrow afternoon.

This is my first week since I have started linking up with Lauren on Fridays that I have been on program for the entire week. I thought hat finding my top5 was going to be difficult, but surprisingly it was super simple!

First off, I should start by saying I had never been to St Louis and didnt really know what to expect, but I have been very pleased...Here are my faves from the week! ((If you follow me on Instagram (a_dway), you'll be seeing some repeats - sorry!

1. The Arch: Over the weekend were our "set-up" days. These are the days we try to finish our tasks as early as possible, because in the meeting/event world you never know how each day will go once the program gets started. I was able to get us to a great stopping point and we walked over to the Arch! It looked like it was going to down pour, but we escaped still dry!

2. The Italian: You all should know by now, but if you are new to read, Italian is my thing. This city, does Italian. & I have not missed a single opportunity to capitalize on this fact. I'm pretty sure... no, I am positive, that I have eaten Italian every single evening since arriving on Saturday. Holy yum! This included fettucini, rigatoni, pizza, toasted ravioli... OH!  The toasted ravioli is incredible! I will say though, I am glad I dont live here... you would have to roll me around I would be so big!

3. My Staff: This may seem silly, but I have said this before on the blog, the girls I work with are a huge part of my life considering how much I travel and how much time we all spend together. Somehow I ended up with a version of the Dream Team here in St Louis. All of these girls are seasoned, and I have known them for years. We all have crazy different personalities, but we all know each other so well.. There are lots n lots of laughs, mostly at each others expense.. and a lot of calling each other out (& no one gets upset, we all know its true) I love all of the moments that we had this week, so thank you ladies (Annie, Marion (MERRR), Temarra (T; Do not Disburb!), Debbie & Nancy (Nancypants))! You make my job a whole lot easier & are the best!!

I really wanted to get a full staff picture for this, but it just didnt happen... FAIL!

4. The Ballpark: We had a dinner event at the Busch Stadium... Awesome? Yes.

5. Home: While I have been gone J has been hard at work on our backyard. I cannot wait to see it (& share pictures of course!!) Zaky & Chara will be in town on Saturday and we get to spend some time with them... super excited. For all of the above.

By the way.. this made me chuckle..

Love is...

Happy Weekend!!

Its Friday!!!

This week was quite confusing... a holiday mid-week really messes with a girl's head, you know!?

But since it's finally the real Friday we are linking up with Lauren From My Grey Desk.

On to this week's highs!!

1. I'll start out with a not so high.... I came home Monday from work expecting a beautifully smelling and cleaned home; however I was welcomed home by a horrible stench. I'll spare you the details... or the photos, but Layla Bean wasnt feel so well... and it just got worse. A trip to the vet later, some meds and special food her tummy is back to normal & I am so thankful! If I cant handle this little bit getting sick, how will I ever have children???

2. Even though I did not want to leave the house on Monday since Sweet Girl wasnt feel well, I met one of my oldest, bestest friends who was in town for a quick trip.

Kell & I have been friends since we were about 10... we grew up playing travel soccer together & have been friends ever since... lucky for me, work brought her to the Lonestar State so we get to see each other much more often - XoXo!!

3. You know you are getting old when you dont do anything for the 4th of July... But I guess I didnt mind too much - we went out to lunch & then grilled at home and it was perfectly fine with me.

4. We are fortunate enough to live close to J's brother & my seeester (in law) & right in the middle for us to meet is the Texas Rangers minor league team The Frisco Rough Riders. We met Thursday night and soaked in some sun and some baseball... it was fab.

5. We finally got to see some fireworks this week - love, love LOVE!

To St. Louie I go.... be back in a week!
