Winter ONEderland

Earlier this month I helped Amber throw the little peanuts their 1st birthday.
Well, really, the brainstorming and planning started well back into the fall, and I LOVED planning and figuring out what we were going to do.. even the many, many hours we spent decorating their house.
The party turned out so precious! Just like P&J.

BIG thanks to my sister in law, Jordan, from Charmed Vintage Rentals, for the taking the time to do pics for us!

Visit Amber's post on the party for additional pics & for the details of where everything is from!

And my favorite:

"Its our party & we'll cry if we want to!"

Today is the day - I am 30. ((ouch)) Not until about 5:30 pm... does that count?! No? Didn't think so, but thought it was worth a shot.

So my 16 day push didn't even come close, so I am filing for an extension. I am giving myself an extra 60 days. If I don't complete the list by then, we can chalk it up to failure. BUT I have a feeling it wont be.

Weekend Fun

This weekend we had plans with the Masseys to celebrate Christmas and to have the girls meet Santa. Near our house there was a park having a band, lights, food trucks and the big man, but "thanks" to Mother Nature, it rained all day, so we shifted plans.

We ate out, and then headed over to the Gaylord Texan to see their décor, and try to get a late night peek at Santa.

We waited in line for only about 30 minutes..

Which was well worth the wait.

Parker was so curious, and Jolie... she was not so happy. BUT every baby needs a crying Santa photo right?

We walked around a little longer -- I LOVE Christmas season! & the Gaylord is bursting with Christmas -- l-o-v-e!

Sunday we made plans with the Schusters and Dunaways to watch the Cowboys game and go ice skating at the Anatole. It was a blast & the 'boys pulled off the win!

Hard to believe that my favorite season has already come and almost gone!

Santa Party 2013

This is by far my favorite party of the year - what started off as a silly way to celebrate the December Babies birthdays, has turned into quite the themed event.
I mean, I kind of obsess about it... I quite possibly am already thinking about next years costume... Judge me if you must!
This year with Icepocolypse 2013 - there was drama with the girls party being postponed to the same day (with all of my winter décor and lots of my serving pieces) and my costume, but never fear, it arrived the day of the party safe and sound and my house was restored to its Christmas décor in plenty of time!
I always roll out the red carpet when I have guests over, whether it be Supper Club, having family over, or just simply to hang out, but for this party we literally, rolled it out for everyone (it also most likely helped the police to know which house the noise complaints were for... but that's for another day)
J&I went with a gingerbread theme this year

I love that as the years have gone by everyone really steps up their game...

In my opinion, every party requires a photo backdrop and this year I desperately wanted a polaroid frame - and J delivered!
I had a s'mores station out back - so thankful that although it was cold, there was no rain!
Looking forward to next year, friends!

16 Days

On November 24th J&I had plans to watch the Cowboys game with the Massey's at my parents. We decided to meet another friend, Branden, up at Frankies for a few bevies and to watch some of the earlier games. Little did I know what was in store for me. Lets just say, I am thankful that I showered :)

It was freezing out in Dallas so the minute we got to my parents I ran to the door... singing "brrr, brrr, brrr... Brrs the word", was locked out and banged on the door... Then this happened

As you can see - I was extremely surprised aaaaaand I do not like being center of attention.

30 days before my 30th birthday.

My Parents and J had been working on this for months while I have been gone. They did such an amazing job!

Thank you to everyone for coming out to celebrate & a HUGE thank you to the parents and my sweet hubs for putting it all together!

I am not sure if you can tell, but there were buckets everywhere with my 30 before 30 list. & if you read this blog, you are aware that A - I haven't been blogging (for multiple reasons) and B - I haven't updated my 30 before 30 list since July And well.. I havent done much since then.

So now I am challenging myself & my family/friends to help me finish this list within the next 16 days. think I can do it? Hahaha - it wont be done perfectly, but I do think we can knock it out, well once Icepocolypse 2013 has left Dallas.

Any volunteers/ideas to get this done?? I'm ready!

Here is where I stand:

1. Go Ice Skating Wishing I had my ice skates still.. I would be accomplishing this up and down out street

2. Roll my own sushi This officially grosses me out ever since I got so sick from mussels this fall... so maybe I will get creative here.

3. Create a cookbook of favorite recipes I'm going to say that I more than likely wont accomplish this one, but we will see.

5. Successfully bake at least 1 dessert I baked my momma's banana cake - yum!

6. Complete a 5k ummmmmmmmmmmm?!

7. Do a grape stomp I'm glad there is no clarification here.

8. Send at least 12 hand-written notes/cards/random gifts
- (2) April
- (2) July
- (4) September
- (5) October

9. Have 4 day/night dates with my momma
- Had a date day with Nana & My Mom for Nana's birthday. (April)
What a complete fail. But lets see what I can squeeze in
