Thanksgiving 2015

I am not sure how Thanksgiving has already come and gone... This year, y'all. I havent a clue where its gone. Our long weekend was a busy one, ending with the laziest Sunday ever

Wednesday night, Mimi & Pops came over to watch G so Mama & Daddy could have a night out. It was so nice to get out and about and have conversation without have to stop to replace a paci or with a babe in the lap. Although almost all of our conversation was about said babe, it was a good few hours with just my hubs. As Grayson is getting older, it seems to be easier to remember that its important to continue to date your spouse, especially after you become a family of three.

I won tickets from work for the Cowboys game on Thursday. So we packed up G and headed there after lunch. This could possibly be the start to a new tradition for our little family. Grayson was incredible. He was a million times better than I ever expected and was quite popular with people at the stadium.

Pardon the oversized hat below.. i was attempting to use J's hat to salvage my hair - for the record, it didnt work.

Somehow that sweet babe even slept through the Luke Bryan concert at halftime and part of the third quarter.

Friday we spent the afternoon/evening with my parents and grandparents. Zak & Chara stayed in OKC for the weekend, since Chara had to work. We missed them, but would much rather them be around for Christmas!

Saturday we celebrated sweet Juliette's 2nd birthday. The party was precious & her outfit was to die for. I took zero pics, so here are stolen ones from Jacqueline :)

Goodness - how our sweet Supper Club has grown! And we arent done yet..! Here is a pic from 2012.... I think at this point we only had Landon ...

Directly after the party we headed over to J's parents to celebrate Thanksgiving with the Dunaways. These sweet cousins "played", more like a lot of touching, some scratching and a lot of trying to gnaw on each other - I blame teething? ha!

 We attempted some photos for Mimi's Christmas card... I for one had an uncooperative baby (& husband) so there may be a request for re-dos soon!

We have this same posed pic from Jojo's wedding, during pregnancy & now with the babes!

Saturday night was a rough one for G. He was up many times that night, screaming in pain (gas/bellyaches). It was so so sad. Sunday was spent relaxing and babying my baby. He hasnt slept in my arms like this for longer than a catnap since he was just a month old... loving every moment. Here's to hoping that Sunday night isnt a repeat!

Christmas Photoshoot

We were lucky enough to get on Stephanie Rose's books for a family/holiday shoot a couple of weeks ago. I literally love every single one of the 100+ photos we received. But I wont make you suffer through that many pics of my teeny, tiny family.

Here are 2 handfuls of my favorites... minus the pics that I used on my Christmas card .. I will share those later!

Grayson Daniel: 4 Month Update

G had his 4 month appointment yesterday... a little late due to his ear infection almost 2 weeks ago. Overall, he is a healthy babe.

Weight: 17 pounds, 8 ounces {90th %}
Height: 26 1/4 inches {85th %}
Head: 43.5 cm {80th %}

I think we can all agree Grayson is big for his age, but this sweet boy is perfectly proportional according to Dr Pass. I joked that people say that he will be a line backer all of the time, but she let me know that although he is a big boy now, it is not an indicator of his body type as he grows.

Developmentally Grayson is doing great. He showed off his head control, tummy time skills, his jibber jabber and my all time favorite, smiles. Although he doesn't roll over like he did at 2 months, she assured me that he will not stop rolling over in just a few short weeks.

His ears have made a full recovery from the icky ear infections. And he took all FOUR shots like a champ. A few whimpers and one loud cry later we were out of there with his six month appointment booked for January.

I love watching this sweet boy grow and grow! ((& being reassured that we are doing a good job, music to every momma's ears!))

Weekend Things: Dallas Stars & Broken Bow

Weekends have become extra special for me since going back to work. I have been trying to extend them whenever possible with a Friday or Monday off. This go around, I was a rebel, and took both Friday AND Monday off.

Around this time every year, we do a weekend with my family, just to regroup and spend time together. This year we headed up to Broken Bow. About a 3 hour drive from Dallas.

But before I jump into that part of the weekend, J won tickets to the Stars game from work, so we took G man on Thursday night.

I broke out the Baby K'Tan and we set out for the game. This was G's second professional game - first being the Rangers game earlier this year. I, actually, also won tickets to the Thanksgiving Day Cowboys game.. so now we need to buy tickets to a Mavs game this season and little G will have hit all the major Dallas teams within a few short months of life.. must be nice! ha!

As usual our sweet boy did a great job. He intently watched all the lights and people. But when we scored, poor guy got scared. Like lip curl, quiver and cry. I felt terrible! I think for the Cowboys game we will get him those baby headphones - right?!

Friday morning after G-Man's 10am feeding we headed out to Oklahoma, with hopes that he would sleep until we got there. And he did -- thank goodness! Best Baby Ever - said like every other biased mother on the planet, but seriously people: he is the best baby ever. Fo Real.

The weekend was full of relaxing, napping, fishing, eating and drinking. Really it doesnt get much better.

G had a bad case of old man hair in the back.. although his hair is growing back in, the back had to go. I have tried to get J to agree to it several times and on Saturday morning he said yes.... I immediately went inside for our hairdresser... aka DeeDee..

He wasnt sure about the sound of the clippers, but it was quick and painless... he survived and his hair looks 100000000000000000000000000000 times better.

We took some family pics for my mom to have for her Christmas card... so I wont post the full family one until her cards go out, but here are some others we took

With Zak & Chara's wedding on the horizon, they are supplying the bar and have been narrowing down their wine choices. They got it down to 5, and we did a blind tasting. It was really fun!

When I was young, my dad & I would go fishing early mornings. I mean, this started once I could hold the pole. We would chat. I would name the worms. & I got my hands dirty. I fished often, even after Zaky came around. Fast forward to being about 13, sitting in a row boat in Wisconsin with my dad and brother, and a bee landed on my leg. **someone** freaked out, stood up and literally, rocked the boat. That **someone** was never asked on a fishing trip again... coincidence? I think not.

With that said, I still fish when we go on lake trips but certainly not like the men in my family. But I so look forward to G going fishing with his daddy, Chief and Uncle Poopy some day. This weekend was his introduction to the many days he will have in the future, but he did it was his mama... who killed wasps this weekend, for the record. Just sayin'

The weekend was so great. So relaxing. And there was a lot of laughing. At each others' expense, of course.
