High Five for Friday (9.28.12)

Well, well... it's Friday! & I couldnt be happier!

 

Let's jump right in to my top 5 linking up with Lauren:

 

1. Ta-Da!!!! I guess I should start with the obvious. Thanks to Aubrey, at The Kinch Life Designs, I have this new fabulous design... Anyone who knows me, knows that I fell in LOVE with this insiration board she sent me! Love love love, the new look!

 

 

2. I spent my weekend with some of my bests - loved every minute (as yall know)

 

 

3.  Packages keep arriving for the "Sugar & Spice" Massey Twin shower we are throwing in a few weeks... eeeekkkk! Cant wait! I love snail mail!!

 

 

4. I worked another successful program this week. It was a little different than normal, but it was great! One night, me and my co-worker had sushi and watched Sex & the City 2... it was like a grown up sleep over.. it was perfection!

 

 

I also finished my CRA-ZY book, Gone Girl... I highly recommend it!

 

 

5. Happy Birthday (thursday) to my bestest!!! Today, I am spending the day/night with her while her fire-hubby is at the station. Looking forward to girltalk and movies!!

 

 

Busy weekend ahead - cant wait!!! Yall have a fabulous one, too!!

 

 

Massey Twins!

This weekend was Amber's first official baby shower... her sweet co-workers threw her a surprise luncheon before she was homebound!

There was a great turnout and the momma-to-be was absolutely gorgeous (as always). Jordan also attended... now that Amber is on strict bedrest, she needed to be lounging, so Jordan came to help her and to also open the gifts! Such a good hubby!

I had 50+ pictures of gift opening, but I only selected a few to share... you;re welcome ;)

Miss Jenna Bree is preggers too!! The Massey family has 3 little blessings to be thankful for!

Sorry Jordan... but this makes me giggle & I had to share!

The shower was wonderful! It makes me more & more excited for the shower that I am throwing Amber along with Jacqueline and Diana!! October 13th will be here before you know it! EEK!

Blast from the Past

One of my oldest friends from elementary school in Chicago called a few weeks ago and said he was coming into town to take a test for the Irving Fire Department. He just completed paramedic school and is now looking to be an EMT on a FD and just might be looking for a change.. like moving to the great state of Texas!

The first night Scott got in, we went and visited the Masseys. Miss Amber has been put on strict bed rest, and I wanted to stop by and give her a BIG hug and bring her some goodies to keep her busy. Afterwards we grabbed dinner and took it easy at home. Not only was I thankful Scott was in town, but I was EXTRA thankful that he cam ein on Wednesday since J was in Austin for 2 days last week... & this girl does not like to stay the night at home alone. :)

Thursday Heather came out & J got home and we went to the Food Trucks in Addison, then to our neighbor's bar - The Hub. Friday morning, I was definitely showing my age... shots are NOT for me any more!

When we got home we kept enjoying the amazing weather.

Friday night we headed to Nate's for dinner

Then to Oktoberfest in Addison

Where J won a cutie Hello Kitty... that we gave to a little girl - so cute!

Saturday morning was Scott's test - I took him early in the morning, then headed out to FM for Amber's first Baby(ies) Shower... Which deserves its own post of course!

We went to dinner at Max's Wine Dive that finally open in Dallas - as expected, delish! We headed back to Addison for the rest of the night for some drinkys

Scott finds out in 2 weeks how he did on his test... then will see if the Lonestar state is in his future!

Viva Las Vegas!

Apparently I took an unintentional hiatus from blogging the past two weeks, but never fear, I have a lot to catch you up on!

Two weekends ago J&I headed off to Vegas for Blake & Erin's wedding. I did fail at taking pictures, but thankfully Miss Diana took some - so I stole them!

Friday we arrived mid-day, met up with everyone for drinks and a little gambling before the rehearsal dinner.. ((Insert picture fail here)) then we headed off to meet the Cabreras to see Love. It was so great! I had seen it before, but the second time didnt disappoint. PLus my, Beatles loving hubs really enjoyed it too!

Saturday we walked the strip and had lunch with the groom. Then it was wedding time!

Obviously Branden was on his game that night... we had lots of laughs..

High Five for Friday (9.7.2012)

I cant believe its already Friday! This week has zoomed by... Linking up with Lauren at From My Grey Desk for this week's top 5!

1. My new pretty, pretty purses :)

2. I was reminded this week that my husband is extremely supportive and definitely my best friend... this week was a lot better because of him!

3. My oh.so.sweet. office roomie brought me this amazing bubbly from her Napa trip.. accompanied by a stupid note that almost made me cry - love her!

4. Football season has officially begun! && our Cowboys started off with a bang!

5. Spent some girly time with some of my favorite ladies putting together Miss Jenna B's wedding invitations... love me some girl talk nights!

Menu Board Makeover

A few months ago I told you about my lack of organization and well, sadly, even though I pointed out that I was still living in March/April in our house, its September and I was still doing so...

But looky looky!

I found a way to keep up with my schedule, and not look like I feed my husband the same thing weekly, or worse, like I havent fed my husband since March..

My goal is as the holidays approach I will change the quote to fit the time... I think I can at least do that, especially since I love love LOVE decorating for the holidays... can we fast forward a month?????

J3A Date

There are few other people I would want to spend a day with than our families.

A J3A (Jarrett, Justin, Jordan - Ashley) date was the best way to start our weekend!

JoJo & I had a sister date to the Allen Shopping Outlets. New purses were in our sight. My goal was to find a cross-body purse since my trusty Fossil purse finally had to go to Purse Heaven... JoJo was looking for a black purse... I didnt take pics of our goodies, but we might have both  gotten a black purse and a cross body - OH HAPPY DAY! & yes, our cross bodies match - dont judge!

AAAAND to make our purse success even better, when I was transferring my things over to my new purse I just so happened to find my Michael Kors watch that I thought I had lost!!

After all that happiness we headed over to Splitsville for a little bowling - Champagne & Bowling in fact...

After bowling we went to watch the Tech game and BBQ at J&J's. It was a great day to our lazy Labor Day weekend.

Are you ready for some FOOTBALL?!

While we were at Disney, one of my besties, Kelley, called. She had an opportunity to get some Cowboys tickets for last Wednesday - & of course we jumped on the chance!

J was suppossed to go, but he had a fantasy draft, so me, Kell & Jojo left him home looking like this:

His face only got sadder as I text him our progress of the evening. I am pretty sure the only bad thing that happened all night was the freakin traffic on the way to the game.... but we made it finally and only good things were to come.

Kelley had access to the Miller Lite Tailgate - which we thoroughly enjoyed:

Our husbands' friend, Kyle - we ended up in a suite... um, hell yes?!

& then he hooked us up to go down to the Miller Lite Club (field level)
